LifeFormations Realistic Figures
LifeFormations has created over 2000 realistic figures during the past 25 years. During that time we’ve become known for creating some of the most expressive and believable figures in the world. Our approach is to focus on the stories the figures are helping to tell, using their gesture and expression to communicate that story in a way the audience can feel and appreciate.
Many of the realistic figures we have created are portrait figures. These are figures that are sculpted and created in the likeness of a real person, contemporary or historical. We are fully aware of the awesome responsibility that comes with creating such a piece of art. Our duty is not simply to create a recognizable likeness of the person, but to create that likeness with integrity and respect. We work closely with the organization commissioning the sculpt, and if possible friends and family of the person we’re creating. We’ve also been fortunate enough to work with several of the people or their families of those whom we were creating, including Whitey Herzog, Johnny Cash, and Satchel Paige.
